- DAY 1 (6 Feb’08): HOCHIMINH CITY – ARRIVAL
Meet at Tan Son Nhat international airport in the afternoon. Transfer to
hotel, on the way stop to see some tourist attractions. Check in hotel
then transfer to dinner. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 2 (7 Feb’08): HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNEL
Beakfast at hotel. Morning we visit Thong Nhat Conference Hall
(Reunification Palace), War Museum, Ben Thanh Market, Tay Son Lacquerware
factory. Lunch. PM: Drive to visit Cuchi Underground Tunnel – a battle field
in Vietnam War closely to Saigon City. Dinner and overnight in Ho Chi Minh
City.
DAY 3 (8 Feb’08): HOCHIMINH CITY – SIEM REAP
Breakfast. Free for shopping until 09:00 transfer to Tan San Nhat airport
for flight to Siem Reap at 11:40 – 12:40. Arrive at Siem Reap International
airport where you will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your
hotel for check-in. Lunch. After check-in visit Les Artisans D’ Angkor and
see their stone and wood carving workshops where the artisans are taught to
use traditional Khmer techniques. Next visit the Old Market where you can
see the fresh local produce being sold as well as browse the souvenir
stalls. In the late afternoon walk to the top of Phnom Bakheng to see the
sun set against a fabulous view of the Angkor area. Return to the town
centre for a buffet style dinner at the Tonle Mekong restaurant where you
can sample many Cambodian and South East Asian dishes whilst watching a
dance show made up of traditional Cambodian dances including the classic
Apsara Dance.
DAY 4 (9 Feb’08): SIEM REAP – ANGKOR – HOCHIMINH CITY (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom and
the famous Bayon temple. Move on to the Phimean Akas temples, the Elephant
Terrace & Leper King and lastly the beautiful Ta Prohm temple which is
embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees. Lunch. In the afternoon visit
the magnificent world heritage site of Angkor Wat. Time for shopping until
transfer to the airport for your late afternoon flight.
