LEONARD KOPELMAN
Leonard Kopelman is a lecturer at Harvard University. He
graduated cum laude from Harvard College and received his Doctor of
Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School. He teaches Management at Harvard
University where he holds the title of Lecturer. He has taught at both Harvard
Business School and Harvard Law School and won two teaching awards from
Harvard. He is the former President of the Mass. State Chamber of Commerce and
the current Consul General of Finland and Director General of the International
Consular Corps. He consults for both public and private companies, non-profits
such as colleges and governments and has appeared on CNN. He was recently
elected to the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association of Greater
Boston. He served as an N.G.O. Representative to the U.N. He lectures
extensively abroad in the area of Management and is a former Editor of The
Quarterly Journal of Economics. He received a National Endowment for the
Humanities Grant in Jurisprudence and was appointed by the President of the
United States to head the Office of Economic Opportunity in Massachusetts. Dr.
Kopelman is listed in Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America,
and Who’s Who in the World. The National Law Journal cited him as
among the top dozen lawyers in Massachusetts for “influence, impact, and
power.” He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and has been named as Super
Lawyer in New England by the Law and Politics Institute. Dr. Kopelman served as
the U.S. Delegate to the Society for International Development’s World
Conference held in the Ivory Coast and serves as a Trustee of numerous
charitable organizations. Dr. Kopelman was knighted by the Republic of Finland
and has participated in foreign policy conferences for senior business
executives with the U.S. Secretary of State. He was named the 25th
Year Honorand at Harvard Extension and delivered the 2009 Commencement Address
to its graduates. He currently serves as President-Elect of SKAL International
of Boston, the international association of travel and tourism professionals.
